Plot Unveiled

Under the skilled direction of Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki unfolds the tale of Hardy, portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, and his companions in Laltu, Punjab, who dream of a brighter future in London. Despite their best efforts in coaching classes, their immigration endeavors hit roadblocks. In a bold move, they embark on an unconventional journey—the ‘donkey flight’—in a daring attempt at illegal entry. The burning question looms: will they succeed? The answers lie within the intricacies of Dunki’s compelling plot.

Dunki Drops: A Symphony of Teasers and Trailer

A sequence of well-planned “Drops” were used to reveal the teasers and trailers for the movie, starting on November 2, the 58th birthday of Shah Rukh Khan, with Dunki: Drop 1. Following a series of teasers that gave fans a taste of the characters and plot, a full-length trailer featuring Shah Rukh Khan in an engrossing older role was released on December 5.

Adding to the excitement, Dunki Drops also featured a melodic playlist, including lively tracks like Lutt Putt Gaya, Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se, O Maahi, and Banda. Sung by Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, and Diljit Dosanjh, these songs promise to elevate the film’s emotional and entertainment quotient.

Dunki box office collection Day 2

Dunki’s earnings at the box office declined even more on the second day following a lackluster opening on Thursday. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the Shah Rukh Khan film brought in Rs 20.50 crore on Friday. With this, the movie’s net domestic receipts have reached Rs 49.7 crore.

The movie’s first two days of box office receipts in India are significantly lower than those of SRK’s two previous releases, Jawan and Pathaan. On the first day of business, Jawaan made Rs 75 crore, while Pathaan made Rs 57 crore net. Shah Rukh’s third release of the year is Dunki.

The release of Prabhas’ Salaar is another factor contributing to Dunki’s dramatic decline in performance. The Prashanth Neel-directed film made the largest opening ever on Friday, earning Rs.95 crore in India.
